About The NGO Leadership Academy

The NGO Leadership Academy is an online learning platform built for one purpose: to close the leadership and organisational capacity gap that limits what African NGOs and civil society organisations can achieve. We believe that the constraint on impact across the sector is rarely a shortage of commitment — it is a shortage of practical, accessible leadership, governance, financial management, and fundraising skills at every level of an organisation.

Why NGO Leadership Matters

Across the continent, NGOs consistently identify the same barriers to growth and sustainability: limited organisational capacity in leadership development, governance, and financial management; a generation of emerging leaders with strong programme instincts but little formal training in running an institution; and a persistent gap between the pace of funding and compliance demands and the pace at which internal systems can mature to meet them. Our Approach
